There are two ways to go about picking out some casework. You can order it a piece at a time -a given case and precisely the drawers you want. Or you can simply order a set -what I call a 'Special'- and get an assortment, save yourself some confusion and save a little money too. The following begins with the Specials and then goes on to the piece at a time.
Drawer Case SPECIALS:
This is easy. Make one decision about the drawer cases you need and the drawers come along. These cases are all finished with a warm elegant shellac and then given a good waxing. Other finishes are available, and for that matter, they also come unfinished at a 5% discount. In this way, you can get EXACTLY what you want. (Finishing your own drawer cases is not hard -check out Fast and Easy Finishing Techniques.) Drop me a note with your needs in this direction.
The drawer faces are finished, but the particle board case is raw. The knobs are available in a variety of basic colors. Let me know what you need. I include some little felt press-on feet for you to use if you are putting the case on top of something. Please remember that these Drawer cases compliment any display case.
12" FILE Special -4 drawer:
This case is my smallest -12 inches high. It uses the same case as the file case below, and one of each stacked on top of the other are as tall as the TALL case.
It has 7 slots for Regular drawers if you decide to swap drawers around sometime in the future.

12" FILE Special -file drawer:
While this is my smallest case, it holds my biggest drawer -a single file drawer. It is mounted on full extension track that allows you to get to the very last file in the drawer. The Face may either cover the entire front of the case, or allow for a overhanging counter-top.

16 x 16 CUBE Special:
This is the common denominator of all the following case. It is a basic 16" cube. It comes with a single #3 bottom drawer, two #2's, and three #1 drawers, the top one being a cheater to cover the top of the case.
It has 10 slots for Regular drawers if you decide to swap around drawers in the future.

16 x 24" WIDE Special:
The WIDE case is sort of the sister of the TALL case below. Same size and shape, but sideways. It's also great for holding drawings and smallish artwork.

24 x 16" TALL Special:
An elegantly sized drawer cases with a graceful shape. As wide as the FILE and CUBE above, but about 24 inches high and with another 5 drawer slots. The math works out like this: -three CUBES equal two of these TALLS. And two FILES equals one TALL.
It has 15 slots for Regular drawers if you decide to swap around drawers in the future.

If you have specific needs that require specific drawer depths, you will want to order empty cases and then select individual drawers to PRECISELY match your needs. Pay particular attention to the number of slots each case has. This number indicates the number of each size drawers you will need.
12 x 16 FILE Case:
This particular case holds either a single File Drawer\ or regular 16" Drawers. Just like my other drawer cases, you can swap back-and-forth between assorted little drawers and the single big drawer. The drawer comes with the hardware pre-mounted, but if you put the file drawer in later, you will need to mount the hardware to the case.
Pick either the File Drawer, or Regular drawers that add up to 7.

These drawers fit into the FILE, CUBE, TALL, and EXTRA-TALL empty drawer cases. The face of the drawer is made from American red oak with dovetails and rabbits for strength. It is sanded, and finished in warm shellac. The sides and back are made form high quality birch plywood and the bottom from standard hardboard that is smooth top and bottom. There is a simple (Shaker Style) wooden knob included. I can paint the knob any basic color if you like. Let me know.

These drawers fit into the FILE, CUBE, TALL, and EXTRA-TALL empty drawer cases. They also can convert deep display cases into drawer cases.
